I DNF this book at 41%
The description and cover of the book was really interesting but the execution of it was very lackluster. I really wanted to like this book and finish reading it but I had issues connecting with the characters because of the pacing and writing style.
In the beginning of the story we have a very forced dialogue with Erin the main character and her maid/friend Liana where it explained Erin relationship with her fiancé and family and a paragraph later her fiancé is killed and her family kidnapped and I have not emotional reaction or attachment to them. We don't know who these people are and as far as I read they are unknown to me. Then almost immediately the story jump to a different scene and location where something important happens for the plot and the story jumps again before the reader has a chance to understand what happened. This cycle seems to continue throughout the rest of the book.
We have more detailed descriptions of the characters' clothing than world building o characters development.
My enjoyment declined the more I continue reading and every time a stop I have to force myself to pick it up again.

Recuerdo que quería leer este libro cuando se publicó por primera vez, pero se me olvidó comprarlo🫣 Ahora con la nueva serie de Amazon por fin lo recordé y lo leí. Me gustó mucho los personajes y la trama (el libro es mejor aunque los actores tienen mucha química pero eleminaron o cambiaron los personajes femeninos de tal forma que pierden agencia o los vuelven villanos🫤) El libro es chistoso y la parte mágica de la historia es muy interesante. Ahora quiero leer los otros libros de las mismas autoras😄

I liked Maeve story and the themes of the book I'm sad that this series is over but I still have other books by the autor to read. My only criticism is that I wanted a little more romance Maeve and Bear are so cute I wanted more and less of Lauchan

I can't with this book I'm bored and annoy by the characters. The misunderstandings make no sense and it's Hard to believe in Opal decisions and actions. I like Pepper and the farm sometimes but is no enough to make finish this book

Este libro es difícil de ponerle un puntaje, por un lado la escritura de la autora está muy bien lograda, es bastante lírica y bella, pero por otro lado como un todo la trama no es tan clara. Los elementos de romance son lo que más me gustaron en la ejecución junto con la exploración de la pérdida de un ser querido que es la base de transversal de la historia.
Lo único que me decepción un poco fue que las sirenas/sekies son más usadas como metafora que como personaje como tal en el libro

I love this book!! Logan and Rose relationship with their teacher it's so beautiful and I love the way their relationship with each other progress. The representation of ADHD and sexuality it so well made and thoughtful. It's very funny book and will make you cry.
