i unironically enjoy this series but this books is just painful to get through. after edward leaves it is HUNDREDS of pages of just pathetic narration (i think bella uses that word to describe herself literally) IM FOREVER MAD ABOUT THE HORRIFIC READING OF ROMEO AND JULIET THAT IS POLLUTING THIS WHOLE DAMN BOOK. i also… hate mike newton. but. i. LOVE. ALICE. she’s just my favorite and i annotate hearts around her bits constantly.

rip simon, a death that seems like it’s gonna stick
just made me… upset. more worldbuilding about dragon slayer magic? i’m sat every time. mashima hard focused on just a couple characters in this volume and it paid off
and erza’s faleout funeral speech from makarov YEEAH IT GETS ME EVEERY TIMMEEEE
