I did like it, the way it was written and the human condition in its most vile and abhorrent way was a nice thing to see in a book. It had the type of fast pace that tied it well with the fast way people live their lives.

However I was a bit thrown off by the exact goal of the story. It was just counting the lives of people with not luck and, for most of them, horrible personalities while being centered about the Witch. Aside from that I didn't get the feeling there was a real
point ?

The insane amount of slurs was also honestly wild to me. As a minority I'm well aware these situations happen and differences in cultures can lead to more violence towards gay / trans people (and the occasional racist comments in the book), however, I feel like there was way too much slurs used. I'm talking 10 slurs in three lines type of "too much".

Overall it wasn't a bad book in itself but the lack of plot, aside from just seeing the violence of humans and a dive into Mexican culture, and the great amount of slurs thrown in this small of a book, just wasn't enough to make me give it more or enjoy it more.

I loved this book.
The way it is written worked really great as well. I would've liked to read more about Fochs' childhood, however the plot in itself is interesting and does speak quite well about reality as well.

I went into this book without necessarily even knowing what it was about, I just saw some comments about it being disturbing.
Happy to say it didn't disappoint. Everything happening felt
completely insane considering this is a book about kids. I loved the ending and the fact the plot is really just a bloodbath with no good ending.

I very much liked this book although to me it doesn't quite compare to the first one.
I appreciate the fact we got to see the myths be developed and the consequences of Martha's actions.

Still a pretty light and easy read.

This book was a very great read. I love everything related to mythology and I think this was well done whether it be for the Norns, Odin or the Draugr. I would've wished for it to be longer and see a better development of Martha's struggles with herself, it felt quite rushed.

Overall I would recommend this book for a light read.

I've honestly loved this book.
I had trouble at first to get into it with the switch in pov especially since it happens directly in chapters and not chapter by chapter, so that could get confusing. However I liked the plot and the characters, they weren't angels but it was interesting due to the double story you had from the trolls and trollers.

It was quite a good read I'd recommend it !

Did not finish book. Stopped at 61%.
I got this book thinking it would be an interesting hellenic read. Unfortunately, I just couldn't finish it. The type of magic that is spoken about is far from being my thing and I even think it's almost too much as far as some of the spells are concerned.

Some things that are said here are also pretty questionable and contradictory to most things I've ever learned.

This might be a good read for someone else, but not for me at all.

This book was such an interesting find for me.
I love everything that can make you question wether a character is really as bad as they make it out to be and this was honestly it. The mix between the two stories you follow, the reveal of these and the way it was all achieved was perfect.

It's got "disgusting" parts, it is an horror book after all, however everything was so well built and written I enjoyed a real lot reading it.

This definitely is part of my favorites now !
