Absolutely fascinating look into the mind and life of someone struggling with Sociopathy. Nothing is ever black and white and I found it so refreshing to read such a well written, balanced book 9m the subject. Not only is the author a Sociopath but she has a PhD in this area. A real expert! I really appreciated her candour and would highly recommend anyone to pick this up if they have an interest in psychology and want to understand the diagnosis better.

This was a fun misadventure. Fantasy with some sci fi thrown in. Time loops are becoming a favourite trope of mine. The writing was decent albeit full of profanity! And the plot kept me engaged. Moved along nicely which I appreciated. My only gripe is that the character explains that she doesn't remember much of her life on Earth and yet is constantly referencing Earth things!

My first audiobook! I thought the narrator did a great job, especially when reciting the poetry. I did find that the book went into too much detail at times but it was an interesting look at Keats very short life.

Edit: after thinking about this a bit more I'm going to put this down to 4 stars. I was surprised that Hera made absolutely no comment (nor even mention) Medea during the whole Jason and the Argonauts section. As a misunderstood wifely character who is cheated on by her husband, I would've thought she could relate and would've at least promoted some comment. It feels like a massive oversight on the authors part.
I think this is Jennifer Saints best novel yet! A difficult task to distil the life and stories of a Greek Goddess into one (medium sized) novel but I think she achieved it. A lot of the famous stories of Greek myth are glossed over in just a few paragraphs but I think Hera's narrative was really strong and clear throughout. I also really like the way she ended it all.

House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas

Really enjoyed the authors other series (ACOTAR) but this one was just too different. Set in a more modern world with more of a murder mystery plotline. Both of which are not to my taste. Unlike ACOTAR, this did not grab me from the first page.

A sci fi mystery / thriller. I enjoyed it and instantly liked the writing. There were times when I started to lose interest but overall it was a decent story. The mystery wasn't that mysterious in the end but it was still an interesting ride.

Really enjoyed this next installment in the series. It was nice to have totally different perspectives this time. The character development is very good. Much more character work than plot but I prefer that.

Another good book in the ACOTAR series. This one I didn't think was as good as the second but still enjoyable. The author takes a lot of inspiration from other stories and mythologies. I didn't know whether to be delighted or irritated by it as it was so obvious where she got many of her ideas from 🤷

Another thoroughly enjoyable read. The sequel was even better. The plot and character development moved on a great deal and was far more interesting than the first book.
