It was getting boring. Seemed like just a lot of famous poet name-dropping.

This is one of the worst books I’ve ever read. The writing was repetitive and childish. I picked this up originally for the Yellowjackets comparison and the “twist” but by the time I got half-way I just hate-read the rest of it.

I will read anything Andrew Smith writes - or Patrick Ness, for that matter. Many of these stories stood out for their tenderness and honesty. Some people can just write teenagers so well.

Despite my better judgment - and my initial disdain of Scorcher - I really enjoyed this one.

This was a very nostalgic story. They should make a movie.
