I had this book read to me all throughout my childhood and rereading it gave me so many feelings. I remember the story made me worry so much for the house cat, even though I already knew the ending. Such a peculiar feeling to re-experience that in adulthood. The illustrations have such a quality to them, I wanted to sink right into the pages.

The art is so nostalgic for me!

Four stars for nostalgia and my undying love for Dirges art style. But on rereading it in adulthood, the rhymes are pretty grating.

I haven’t read this since I was a child, and for some reason it made me cry.

Well done, Walt, you are very smart and have read many books.

Imagine another world, a world where two moons hang in the sky and Haruki Murakami knows how to write women.
