I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I’m a big fan of the Crash Course curriculums put out by the Green brothers and crew, so reading this felt like watching their videos. Entertaining, informative, and insightful. I’m actually planning on listening to the audiobook and getting a print copy so I can go through and highlight my favorite passages and takes notes in the margins (just like John).

I loved getting to know January and Gus throughout the books. I laughed, I cried, I didn’t want to put this one down. It’s everything I look for in a romance novel.

This is not a genre I normally venture into, and it thoroughly enjoyed this book. It took me a minute to get into the first person perspective, and at first the flashbacks were a little confusing for me, but after a few chapters, it felt really natural and necessary for this story. In reading the acknowledgements and author notes, I learned that this book is also really well researched, which probably accounts for part of why this story was so compelling.
