I feel like this had so much potential, but it just fell flat. It was all over the place. The relationship was not fully developed enough to believe it. I wanted more time travel. Maybe if I had physically read it I would’ve liked it more but I listened to the audiobook. So much hype and it didn’t amount to much

I’m a huge fan of The Hunger Games, but this prequel was so disappointing. I was bored most of the time and the end of the book was not satisfying at all. Nothing really happened. And what did we learn that we didn’t already know about Snow? He was a bad person. Also, the relationship between him and Lucy Gray made no sense and felt extremely forced. It wasn’t believable at all. I kept hoping it would get better but nope.

I felt like this book could have been shorter. It dragged a lot. The main character, Alexis was super unlikable and the reasons she gave for them not being able to be together just didn’t make sense to me. Also why was every other line “she licked her lips”. It was so random. Like always locking her lips. It wasn’t even anything sexual it was just a phrase the author liked to use constantly for no apparent reason. Eh not my fave romance if you couldn’t tell.
