This plot had soooo much potential but it fell so flat smh. We know next to nothing about both MCs upbringings other than they were tragic. We know nothing about the MMCs mafia ties except that he is a hitman???? And the dialogue was so corny. I almost couldn’t finish it.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 25%.
It was just a bit too unrealistic. The spice was good but the premise of the two MCs was so far fetched and honestly…dangerous lol. I just couldn’t get behind where the story was going

Penny and Rafe are my favorite couple in this series to date BUT I felt like the plot was lacking. It would have been so nice to learn more about the mafia side of things instead of just focusing on the love story

I love this author and this world of characters she’s built. I really liked this story. I only gave it 4 starts instead of 5 because I felt like she could have given us some extra info on the MCs past with one another. It was part of what made them endearing and I felt like I wanted more. Outside of that, I loved the book.
