It was a decent read. However it took a lot of time to set up the story and it feels like very little actually happened and the bit that did happen felt predictable. It wasn't bad it was just slow.

If you read this as a stand alone and don't think of the movie it's actually an entertaining quick read. I enjoyed playing Spot the Difference and I prefer the way this one ended with Elle not needing another romantic interest AND growing as a person. I feel like Elle felt more like a real flesh and blood person and not a character in this story as well.

I really wanted to like this book but it felt forced and hard to read.

Probably my favorite book of his after Jurassic Park. It was a fun read and I laughed a lot.
