Note: Read as an eARC for Netgalley! Thank you to the publisher for selecting me to read this book!

I really liked how informative and inclusive this book was. The graphics kept it engaging and there were many interesting facts about humans and gender that even I didn’t know as a queer person! This is an important book and I’m glad the author wrote it!

I really enjoyed this book! It had some elements of both The Nyxia Triad and All Tomorrows, aka my two favorite sci-fi works of all time! The tone is more lighthearted than those, and some of the dialogue is a little cheesy (all you need to know is that Fortnite is referenced), but the great worldbuilding and unique ideas made up for it. Can’t wait to read the rest of the trilogy!

NOTE: I received this book as an e-ARC from Netgalley!
This was a very cute graphic novel with excellent cartoony art. It had a super unique concept and there were so many small details referencing dream-related mythology and cultural beliefs (like the factory guards being sheep) that were so well thought out. My only complaint is that the ending came out of nowhere - one page is action packed, the next, the story ends. It's a little unsatisfying which doesn't bother me, but it will bother a lot of the target audience. Other than that, this was a great little comic and I'm glad this publisher is bringing more European comics to an Anglophone audience!

A beautifully illustrated French graphic novel about a British noble that is also an aspiring scientist.
I loved how each chapter was themed around a different color! However, the plot is a little lacking - it’s very quickly paced and there’s a lot of stuff happening in a short time. It was all necessary for the progression of the story, but I think this book would have benefitted from some extra pages that established the characters more.
Additionally, I liked that some of the dialogue was untranslated to indicate the different languages being used across the story!
While this book did have some downfalls with its pacing, I enjoyed it and I appreciate how unique it was! I’m looking forward for more books from the authors and artists!
