In the first manga of the series "Call of The Night," we are introduced to Ko and Nazuna. Nazuna is a vampire, and Ko is a 14-year-old human boy who suffers from insomnia. I really admire the way these characters are introduced to us. I especially love the drawing style of Nazuna in this manga. The short and snappy chapters, as well as the emotional panels, make the manga truly engaging. Some parts even make me laugh out loud.

5/5 stars for me

Thank you to Netgalley and Datura Books  for my arc copy of Honeycomb by S.B Cave
In this book, we follow Amanda, a former pop idol, as she enters a house with four other people as part of an experiment similar to a mix of "Big Brother" and "Black Mirror" with a hint of "Saw." I enjoyed getting to know these characters as we followed the experiment involving taking a particular drug. However, it becomes evident that this experiment is also life-threatening as the others become obsessed with Amanda. There were a few unexpected twists and turns. I rated this book four stars because some parts of the story were left unresolved, and I found myself questioning the purpose of the experiment and the background of the characters without any significant resolution. Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable read.

I recently delved into "Corkscrew You" by Catherine Robertson, the inaugural instalment in the Flora Valley series. This delightful tale weaves together romance and the competitive world of winemaking. Shelby Armstrong seeks out Nathan Durant's guidance to revive her father's winery. Despite their initial clashes, a surprising kiss uncovers their undeniable chemistry. However, navigating their attraction amidst financial struggles presents complex challenges. The storyline immediately drew me in, evoking the cosy charm of a Hallmark movie. The dynamic between the characters, with the Grumpy/Sunshine trope, added an extra layer of enjoyment. I did notice that there were instances of excessive drama and miscommunication throughout the book, which isn't typically my cup of tea. The pacing felt a tad unrealistic at times, and it affected my connection with the main characters, especially in the first half. I'm not an expert in steamy scenes, but I found them lacking in quality writing. Since the book is labelled as erotica, I expected more well-developed and skillfully crafted romantic encounters.

Thank you to @buddyreadbooknook and @authorhollyejukes for providing me with a copy of The Likelihood of You to read.

I was completely captivated by this book! The vivid descriptions and well-developed characters made it feel like a movie was playing out in my mind. The relationship between Jacob and Florence is incredibly endearing, especially considering how their shared experiences have brought them closer together. I appreciated the portrayal of instant love and how swiftly they were brought together despite their respective past relationship struggles. The bond between Nate and Jacob, as well as Addy's mentorship of Florence, added depth to the story. Overall, I consider this book a five-star read and wholeheartedly recommend it to others.

Thank you to Walker Books for my copy of "Last Seen Online." I haven't been able to put this book down as we follow Delilah and Sawyer to investigate who really hurt or killed Nathan O'Doneel, a famous actor in this book. I have really enjoyed the online integration, using spaces like LiveJournal, Reddit, and more, which adds extra to this book, especially at my age as I can remember those sites and what they were like. I love how these two are investigating Gottiewrites, who was a fanatic about the show after Nathan started on the show "Loch and Ness" with two others called Anya and Rob.

I have loved following Delilah and Sawyer in this adventure. Seeing them go through a lot to get to the end of this investigation about who did this to Nathan and why. The ending had me shocked and I can't wait to read more of this series. It has kept me guessing. This book's unique format and captivating plot kept me engaged throughout, making it a must-read for mystery enthusiasts. #LastSeenOnline #MysteryNovel #BookReview #OnlineIntegration #ExcitingReads #BookSeries #PageTurner #LiteraryAdventure #Bookworms #SuspensefulPlot #lastseenonline @walkerbooksuk @walkerbooksya

had a great time on the Literallypr tour for the second part of this series. The book throws you right back into the action with a vivid urban setting, including landmarks like the Shard and Tower Bridge. The mythical creatures in this world are amazing, and I especially liked the description of the Thunderbirds being as big as double-decker buses.

The story involves mythical creatures living among humans and the conflicts that arise due to the divide formed after a war. The book is written from the perspectives of three main characters. I enjoyed the relationship between Eira and Cole and appreciated the unconventional bonds between the characters.

The world-building is just right, providing enough information without overshadowing the action-packed plot. There are unexpected moments and a heart-wrenching twist towards the end that left me eager for book three.

Both books were a thoroughly enjoyable read, with the first being more action-packed and the second providing backstory and character development. It's a unique and exciting fantasy series that I would recommend to fans of the genre, particularly those who enjoy a touch of romance. This series is also suitable for young adults with its absence of mature content.

This fantasy series is a standout in its genre, offering a blend of excitement, romance, and engaging storytelling. It is a perfect recommendation for fans of fantasy, especially young adults looking for a captivating read without mature content. Immerse yourself in this enchanting world and get ready for an unforgettable journey
