I received a copy of the book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was a beautiful story which really brings to light some of the struggles those in the disability community go through.
Micah was a star on the football team until he gets sick.  He suffers from Myalgic encephalomyelitis, or ME, a medical condition that has confined him to a wheelchair. Micah falls in love along the way with Evie, who was on the track team until she got in an accident that eventually led to a below the knee amputation.

Micah’s “friends” from when he was popular really made me angry. I’m so glad he finally realized how toxic they were.

I received an eARC from the publisher via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I really wanted to get into this one as I enjoy fake dating romances so much, but unfortunately this was not for me. Also not the FMC being blatantly rude while in the bakery not knowing the owner (her future love interest) was standing right there.

Sloane has been in love with Jasper since she first laid eyes on him at 10 years old. Unfortunately he’s only ever seen her as a friend. On the day of her wedding to another man who was more concerned with controlling her, Sloane flees— and Jasper is right there to help her get away from it all. He brings her back to Chestnut Springs, where she spent every summer with her cousins and Jasper.

This was actually my first book of Elsie Silver’s and I enjoyed the writing and story a ton! Unfortunately at times it felt like the MMC was way too possessive for my liking and also seemed to lack a lot of the depth I usually hope for in a “darker” backstory.

Also there were a bunch of incest jokes due to Jasper being taken in by Sloane’s uncle/cousins family as a teen. Obviously they’re not blood related but these jokes made the whole situation even more uncomfy to read about.

I am interested in reading the other books in this series though, especially since many have said this is their least favorite.

Everly is a fan of the show On the Plus Side and is eagerly awaiting the next season— only to find out she’s one of the newest stars of the show. An unknown person in her life has nominated her for a specific reason that will be revealed at the end. The hosts help the stars become confident in their bodies and themselves via help in all aspects of their life— career, wardrobe, etc.

This book had such a great set up and I was so excited to read a book about a plus sized woman learning to love herself. Unfortunately at 48% we were still nowhere with the plot and we didn’t know much about either male “love interest” beyond the surface level.

Overall I think this has potential and while it wasn’t for me I would definitely recommend giving it a chance!

This was her best book I fear.

I love Gigi and Luke Ryder with my whole heart. This was absolutely perfect and I immediately want to read it again.
