I had a love/hate relationship with this book, I definitely had high expectations after the first book and I don’t know if It met those expectations. The book hooked me in the beginning but somewhere in the middle it lost me and I got to be very bored but once things started to come together, I have to say the climax was amazing, I was jumping up and down, omg it was so good.
I think even when the plot was a little slow what kept me going was the characters, this series has one of the best characters i’ve ever read. Not only each character individually but the relationships and dynamics between each character is amazing.

I took me awhile to get into the book but it had a good premise and plot, i’ve always loved peter pan and wendy and I had high hopes for this book.
I wouldn’t say I was disappointed but it wasn’t what I hoped for, the shadow being the villain was brilliant and could very much be terrifying. A shadow that feeds on fear and everything bad in the world that takes children is brilliant. Though the way he was defeated very much seemed cartoonish and way to easy.
The relationship between Wendy and Peter was sweet but felt rushed even for characters that had feelings for each other forever. Peter losing his abilities because he wanted to stay with wendy makes sense.
I think the ending and climax disappointed me most, but the rest of the book was very good. Am I upset about peter and wendy? Yes but in this case i’ll let it pass since the Darlings had already lost so much. Though I’ve always wanted peter and wendy to end up together, i sadly say I think they will always be that doomed romance.
The death of John and Michael was tragic and Mr davies was a good Plottwist, but idk I had hoped for something else.
This book had plenty of potential but just did not follow through

They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera

I found this book relatable and interesting in a lot of ways, the plot was interesting and being Hispanic, Bisexual and 17 just like Rufus and Mateo made the book way for entertaining for me. I related a lot to both characters in many ways and taught me a few things. The book was a bit underwhelming and some of the character povs felt a little unnecessary but I enjoyed the book.
