Cosy and sweet, yet a little bit of a drag. Prepare for many em dashes.

Olivia Gatwood has created a captivating world in "Whoever You Are, Honey." Blending literary fiction with thriller elements, it takes readers on a journey into the experience of being a woman, delving into themes of memory, connection, loneliness, and the pursuit of perfection.

A man who feels like he doesn’t fit in his own life returns home to an empty house after a long absence and wonders where his family is. Someone he doesn’t know wants to discuss a global benevolent illegal operation and his personal mythology. I enjoyed the writing but didn’t love the ambiguity. As the main character says, “Keep talking in riddles like this and I will be out of here in two minutes.”
