The Kid Who Became President by Dan Gutman
4.0
A funny sequel that explores how hard it would be if a kid actually won the presidential election.
Cheaper by the Dozen by Ernestine Gilbreth Carey, Frank B. Gilbreth

This is such a fun book to read! It's like growing up in the family, getting to hear all the funny things their dad does and how their family works together for everything.
Edgedancer by Brandon Sanderson
5.0
This lived up to everything else Brandon Sanderson has written before. I loved Lift in the last Stormlight book and was so excited to read a novella about her. I was not disappointed. It was immersive and funny and had the brilliant plot twist. And Lift, one of Sanderson's funniest characters.
Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson
5.0
Brilliant. Just like everything Brandon Sanderson writes, the world was complex and interesting, the characters were amazing and had great development. The plot blew me away; one of Sanderson's strong points is how he writes plot twists and his ending in this book did not disappoint. For the topic (Gods that are Greek God-like), it was pretty clean and the information was presented in a way that can be kept G-rated. If you enjoy fantasy, Brandon Sanderson is a must read.
3 NBs of Julian Drew by James M. Deem
5.0
This book is so beautiful, I cried. I was fairly young when I read this and it opened my eyes to the world, but not in a shocking way. My heart goes out to abuse victims and children who come from homes that are not loving. The themes in this book are more adult, but it is worth the heartache to read through to the end.
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card
4.0
This book has a brilliant plot and plot twist and Orson Scott Card did a really good job of showing the reader how utterly brilliant Ender is (even among other geniuses). I gave it four stars because it isn't as clean as I would want a book to be (especially with language).
