Started reading this because I could get it sooner than Poor Things and I wanted to get a feel for Alasdair Gray’s writing style and wow! It’s biting as hell! Best satire of 80’s capitalism I’ve ever read. Can’t wait to read his translation of The Divine Comedy!

Not as much of the fantasy story I expected it to be from the premise as much as it is statistics of generational, systematic misogyny in South Korea loosely framed over the story of a young woman’s life. But very good! Utterly hopeless.
