Loved this book so much! It’s so lovely to see middle grade books be so inclusive now and it’s a comfort to know my niece and nephew and all my friends kiddos will grow up with books like this. It also serves as such a comfort to queer adults who didn’t get to see ourselves in these stories when we were younger. Phenomenally written and a story I really really loved

Received an ARC from Headline books on Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This book was one of my most anticipated releases of 2024 (i mean, the title alone got me good) and it did not disappoint. Anita Kelly continuously creates such wonderful queer stories with such well rounded, three dimensional characters who I truly fall in love with. She didn’t shy away from more serious topics in ‘How You Get The Girl’ whilst still giving us a sweet little romance and showing the importance of the support of those around you
