Jackson wrote characters that were frightening and with a few edits could fit into the world today. I would recommend this collection of short stories to everyone. If you've often felt that the thoughts in your mind concerning other people and how they might perceive the world in comparison to you, you're not alone. This writer understood the different layers of crazy.

It isn't my favorite in the series, but I still managed to read it in two nights. Whatever issue I had with the protagonist, it didn't stop me from being hooked.

It read so close to the first season of Dexter that I heard Michael C. Hall's voice narrating the novel the whole time. I want to step away from the show so that I can enjoy the next installment without thinking about what happened on the series.

I liked book #4 more than #3. I liked how the concentration was on the team (Susan, Archie, Henry, etc.) and not on how beautiful and skilled Gretchen Lowell is. That being said, I did enjoy her cameo. Chelsea Cain is becoming another Harlan Coben for me where I automatically have to pick up her next novel when I find it.

I'm getting addicted to these Gretchen Lowell novels and because this one came out this year, I hope it doesn't mean I have to wait until next year to see what happens to the group. Archie's personality is really growing and I've been a fan of Susan. The layers being added onto Gretchen also make for good reading.

I loved this novel. I took my time reading it. The storyline was refreshing and the characters stay with you long after their chapter is over. I'm pretty sure I fell for Cormac.
