This book will always stay with me, Nesta was the one character that I disliked but this book made me love her character she is messy and broken but healing her trauma and working through it is not always easy but Sarah J Maas doesn't shy away from the ugly. Nesta's character isn't likeable through out the series but together with Cassian's help she finds her way to accept who she is and slowly heals and accepts that its OK not to be OK. It may be my own struggles with past trauma that makes me relate to her so much but by the end of the book Nesta is one of my favourite character in the series. The friends Nesta meets along the way help her find her strength and together they all help each other heal. The one thing I hate about this book is the ending Nesta giving up her power to save her sister, I mean yes the growth that Nesta shows by saving her sister is remarkable I just wish there was a way for her to do it without having to give up her power. I hate when authors do that and it seems to be a reoccurring theme within Sarah J Maas's books I'm still bitter about it happening in Kingdom of Ash. Anyway I'll stop my ramble if you've read this far I apologise this whole post is basically the rambling of a sleep deprived crazy person, I'll write a proper review at some point.
