I really enjoyed the conclusion to this trilogy! It was tense and exciting, I didn't connect to the characters as much as book 2 but I'm excited to read the next story in this world
I really enjoyed this! The perfect mix of paranormal and mafia romance. There were classic mafia aspects tied in with blood demons and I enjoyed how that was interwoven. I like that the FMC was an academic and had her journey to discover where she wanted her life to go. My favourite sort of relationship and I'm excited to see if we see any revenge in an upcoming book! Po
A lot was answered but so many more questions. I love the complexity of this story and the new POVs helped to explain more of the background and how all the characters fitted in. The was confusion but in a good way. I feel Orlaith is such a complex character and her struggles can be related to some in the modern day. The different creatures are so interesting and I look forward to finding more about the lore and the world. With that ending I need to know what happens next, can't wait for the next book!
What started out as a romantasy book much like others, I grew more and more intrigued as the plot thickened and we discovered more about the politics behind what was happening. The spice was spicy and the characters were mysterious. With a marriage of convenience and enemies to lovers this was full of tropes and aspects I loved yet did not feel repetitive. I really engaged with the FMC and her journey throughout. After that ending I am hoping for a villain era and vengeance!
This was such a good sequel! Better than book one and so good! I really connected to Fallon, I felt her frustration, anger, sadness and happiness. I loved learning more about the crows and their language and culture. Love the romance between Fallon and Lore and I'm excited to see where it goes! The friendships are so fun in this and after that end I must read the next book straight away!
This was a bittersweet read. I loved reading about the relationship between Paige and Warden but the parts about her trauma were difficult to read. It was very thoughtfully done and I really appreciate the development of both their characters in this after the song rising.
Another fantastic installment of the bone season. As always such a lyrical and compelling first paragraph. The way Samantha writes it's just so descriptive and emotive in such a beautiful and hard-hitting way. I really enjoyed the new setting and characters we met. Seeing page on her journey to power and her emotional journey, trying to use her past and experiences to improve things especially when she is not perfect. I love all the complexities to all the characters and that you never know what their true motives are. It's such an interesting world and such a tense story. I can't wait to read what's coming up next.
I really liked the way the Arthurian legend was interpreted from this. Having Arthur as the tyrant king was quite different. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Morgana and Gwen and how their relationship played out. Merlin's pov was super interesting, seeing how he manipulated things for his own goals. The twins were also cute! The tensions especially near the end was so good and after how things were ended I can't wait for the next book!
