I really enjoyed The 100 year old man, and didn't enjoy the sequel so much. I think if you liked the sequel you'd like this, but I just couldn't get invested.
The writing style is the same, with more totally unbelievable plot lines.

Very well written book, and an interesting reflection on London of the time, which I thought was very successfully brought to life.
Unfortunately nothing really happened for the whole book.
If you're into slower reflective stories, and more interested in the writing and characters than plot you may love it, I just needed more to happen.

This book felt rushed and underdeveloped. The characters were far too stereotypical and the whole book felt written to fit a tik tok trend.
There was no conclusion the book just ended, it would have been a cliff hanger but I wasn't invested enough to feel the tension.
I would say I thought the way Ross covered the war was well done, but overall I couldn't recommend the book.

Easy rom com reading.
Found the characters a bit 'pick-me' to be honest, but it was well written.
Enjoyed the break from all the bad boys to someone unapologetically nice, surprisingly refreshing.

Very interesting and original concept. Well written book.
Unfortunately it just didn't fully suck me in. It was quite dense reading with lots of terminology thrown about which made it slightly slow going.
Definitely worth a read though!

Very well written book.
Enjoyed the writing and the tension, kept me hooked to the end. Found the end a bit anticlimactic.
Also occasionally struggled with getting the names of the characters mixed up.

Well written, but plot was a bit jumpy and the ending didn't really conclude the book.
I liked the main character Tom but I didn't like the way Clements wrote the female protagonist. She was made into that classic weepy, yet strong, and definitely in need of rescue that men always manage to think is a flattering light. 🤢
