Not going to give it stars because wow these kinks are not mine.
I really found the coming into her magic, learning about the witch house, the fae, and the smiting of the god interesting.
And every other chapter is shut.
So... do what that information what you will.

I enjoyed the God portion of the storyline (I really like mythology and folk tales) and the way the Eld / Reapers were introduced was neat.
I found myself constantly rolling my eyes at Rae but in a good way - she goes straight into danger but it's part of her charm.
I did enjoy how the other characters seemed to subtly change based on the information she uncovered as the storyline progressed as well.

Very dark. Not my type of spice and it's just the first story told from another point of view.
Which makes sense as it's book two, but I found i did not care about the characters as much as I enjoyed book one.
It also was less story line and more repetition.
Overall, meh. I'll probably read book three and then go back to my usual space thrillers.

I absolutely despise slugs but I adore this series, so I listened on 2.3x speed.
Very cute (mostly) and I am glad FM made it 💪🏻

Not the first book in the series and barely any knitting happens.
The book   d r a g g e d   so badl!

I skimmed the entire second half as it took forever to gather any actual information about the murder.
There's a secondary crime and I didn't care about that either because it was teased, ignored, skimmed over, ignored some more, and then suddenly it was over.

There was more descriptions of people (who I still have no idea how they go together), businesses, and food dishes than story line.

Really wanted to love it because cozy mystery with knitters!!!!! But I did not care at all.
