This is by far my favorite book by Stephanie Garber! The characters, the world, the romance, and the banter were all *chefs kiss*. It was such an improvement to Once Upon a Broken Heart and honestly, I'm kinda shocked at how much I loved this book.
Evangeline and Jacks have to be my favorite relationship from her books! I love them with my whole heart.
The ending of this book was amazing, it made me bawl my eyes out but it was so good.
I'm gonna go read the next and final book now and probably cry because it's over.

I decided to give this book a reread in hopes that it would get me out of a reading slump and it did. I enjoyed this book more the second time around than I did when I first read it.

This book could have been combined with the first one. That being said, I did enjoy this book a little more than I did the first one.

Addicted to You by Krista and Becca Ritchie is the first book in the Addicted/Calloway Sisters Series. Lily Calloway is addicted to sex and her best friend Loren Hale is addicted to alcohol. In order to hide their addictions from their families, Lily and Loren have been in a fake relationship for the last three years but what happens when they decide they no longer want their relationship to be fake? Are either of them willing to fight their addictions in order to give their relationship a real shot?
This series has been on my TBR for a long time and I finally decided to pick it up in hopes that it would get me out of my dreaded reading slump.
On the plus side it did sorta get me out of my reading slump, I was able to read this book in just a couple of days. On the downside, I was a little underwhelmed by this book.
First, let's talk about the things I liked. I really enjoyed the characters and found that I related to Lily a little more than I would have liked. I absolutely loved Lo despite the fact that he could be a real asshole. I was really rooting for these two characters and desperately wanted them to work through their shit and be happy together.
I have seen a lot of people say that Lily and Lo’s relationship was toxic and I agree but I think that was the point. The only way they were going to get help for their addictions was if they hit rock bottom together and realized that they were hurting the one person they cared the most about.
Now the things that I disliked. I felt like this book moved really fast especially when it came to Lily and Lo’s relationship. In the beginning, I wasn't feeling a lot of chemistry between the two of them and I wish we had got to see a little bit more pining between the both of them.
I also felt like not a lot happened throughout this book. There seemed to be a lot more filler than actual plot points.
I was told that this book was pretty spicy so I was I was disappointed to find out that the majority of the scenes are fade to black and the ones that aren't are vague and have little detail. Ultimately this comment has more to do with me getting the wrong information rather than the book itself but I do hope it changes in the later books.
Overall, I really liked the characters and romance in this book. I like that it deals with some hard topics that you don't see talked about all that often. I enjoyed this book enough to continue with the series.

A great introduction to witchcraft! Definitely one of the main books I would recommend to new witches! It is very easy to understand and really goes over almost all of the basics and it's a cheap price on amazon! Also added points for talking about cultural appropriation! Highly recommend!

I honestly really enjoyed this book. I know that not everything said in it is correct but it really gave me some new ideas on how I can modernize and incorporate Hellenic Polytheism into my daily life and witchcraft practice.

I don't really know what to say about this book… did I enjoy it? Yeah, I did, I definitely liked this book more than the first book in the series, the Duke and I.
Was this book as good as the TV show? No. Netflix did make quite a lot of changes in the TV show and honestly I'm glad they did. Especially when it comes to the bee scene because the amount of second hand embarrassment I got from that scene… I can't imagine having to see that scene in real time.
Let's be honest the men in the TV show are way better than the men in the books (expect for Colin, I enjoy book Colin more than show Colin). I absolutely love Anthony in the show but book Anthony is… meh.
Don't get me wrong book Anthony has some really great moments like when he's helping Kate during the thunderstorms which honestly I much prefer the scene in the book to the one in the show. (also can we go back to calling thunderstorms electrical storms? It sounds so much cooler!)
That being said there was also some scenes in the book that I was like “seriously Anthony?” like when he refused to give Kate some time on their honeymoon before having sex. I also hated the fact that he would not stop comparing Kate's looks to Edwina’s and that he keep constantly saying that Kate wasn't as beautiful as other girls.
Though I do enjoy the romance between Anthony and Kate in the show to the book, I will say I really enjoyed the banter between the two of them in this book.
Honestly my favorite part of this book was Colin. Colin is by far my favorite of the Bridgerton family! He's absolutely hilarious and I love that he shows up just to create chaos and then leaves. I have a very good feeling that his book is gonna be my favorite.
One thing I have noticed with Julia Quinns book is they seem to drag a bit. I don't think this book needed to be as long as it was.
Overall, I had a good time reading this book and I liked getting to see the original story of one of my favorite TV show couples.
