This is REALLY disturbing. I just applaud lizzie’s courage, if that were me I would’ve immediately fled the state, heck, the country even. This book made me question everything, one time you think that then the next you’re on a different road already.

If I were to compare this psycho/sociopath Zach to someone that would be Bundy, Ted Bundy, when I read Zach’s pov, the way he just lacks remorse in everything and how twisted his mindset is just reminds me of Bundy. How he could easily lie and manipulate someone and be able to get out of it just because of his looks and charms. This book will make you go cautious when going out in first dates cos honestly- man’s a great actor and liar.

That part with Zach and you-know-who is just EW THATS DISGUSTING, I see no reason on why the author had to write that, it was just so unnecessary. All in all, the writing is amazing. The plot twist, superb. The characters, complex. The whole story, disturbingly wonderful. Recommend this to any Gillian Flynn or psycho thriller fans out there.

This was a fast light read. I’m trying my best not to be too critical here since I did enjoy the middle part of it but I must note that Shoshanna or whatever the spell is; annoyed the fuck outta me. If there’s one thing I hate, that would be gatekeepers.

But by the end she did improve and there are still a lot to improve about her but hey she’s just 16 and having parents who are on the verge of divorcing is tough. Genuinely felt sorry for her.

Now Jake, I love this man. Yeah he’s rude in the beginning but at least he had a reason and throughout the book he became less of a dick. Nothing’s more attractive than a man who knows how to bake am I right? free food and kisses all you can. Unfortunately, those part weren’t showed in this book.

The ending was abrupt, its like it was forced to end and man the cliffhanger?? I would love to catch even just a glimpse even just one scene of Jake and Shosh as a couple but nah we got one kiss that ended right after the kiss and a text message??? girl what

This was a quick read, one of the few books I've finished in one sitting. literally. I haven't read any of her books before and never was interested even if the TATBILB series were hyped up, coming of age books weren't really my thing. Forgot that this book even existed in my shelf not until I saw the pretty cover. I like seashells lol. I genuinely thought, I won't like it especially at how the book started- It started slow. I wasn't easily intrigued but I went on by it and then we met the rest of the gang- The only character who was even decent enough to be considered as a living being was Jeremy and Susannah (I like Cam too hihe). I can't say I hate this book since I thoroughly and perhaps guiltily enjoyed-ish it but I also can't say I love this book since half of the characters are plain and not well rounded, CONRAD WAS SHIT- there I said it. He may be the brooding type and I may have a weakness with his kind but still, he treated all those people around him like he's superior or something (felt rlly bad for jere here) and was very selfish in a certain part, bruh I get it you're grieving and possibly even jealous but you're just makinf it worse, I genuinely think he liked belly tho but liked the chase better (makes me wanna punch him so much) idk if its about his fragile masculinity or something but nevertheless, The end was something everyone expected but it was so...shallow. The boys were right, Belly IS a kid cos she basically acts like one throughout the whole book and yeah she's very self centered and selfish as well (Not as worse as her bitchina friend but whatever) anyway, two selfish beings about to explore the world and reality, such a perfect match, what could go wrong? Will I pick up the next book? Maybe. but not right away.

This book was a rollercoaster.

Its funny how I didn’t cry but when I reached the acknowledgments section I was sobbing. The ending... Its happy but also sad in a way.

Leigh Bardugo’s last chapter made me stare at the wall. Digesting what just happened, imagining the exact same scene and end up teary eyed. This series will hold a special place in my heart, as well as the characters. Was I happy for the ending? Not exactly. but in some way it was properly executed and just. It wasn’t rlly fair tho tbh... I mean, all the powers and hardships you endured and you end up being a caretaker???

I didn’t go through all that character development to see this ending

Lol this book made me question the darkling’s advances again. I don’t know if he was manipulating Genya because the things he did were similar to Alina’s. I still want to believe that a part of him cared, that there was still chastity left in him. But nevertheless, the only thing he did was comfort her and it did not justify all those shitty things he did to her on the books. She is not ruined, she is ruination.
