Fire Punch, Vol. 6 by Tatsuki Fujimoto

Strange even for this book. I like how the idea of the hero is constantly being torn apart

Ah I loved this. Great character moments. You can where Chainsaw Man got its movie stuff too.
Fire Punch, Vol. 3 by Tatsuki Fujimoto

Wonderfully balances OTT characters, crazy action and sadness
Blood on the Tracks, Vol. 15 by Shuzo Oshimi

Seiichi finally get some answers (though not justification) for his mother’s whole deal.
Oshimi is so good at showing us how the character is feeling through their perspective

Judge Dredd: The Red Queen’s Gambit
This is excellent. Tension, humour and weirdness. Good 2000ading
Demarco PI An Eye..
Didn’t really do anything for me but it is the first part
Diamond Dogs
Picked up, better than last one
The Returners Chandhu
The like that they’re being controlled and one of the, realises it
Anderson PSI Division The Dead Run
Anderson in charge of younger cadets is fun!
PSI-Judge Anderson The Candidate
One big story and a few small ones. All enjoyable with some great art. Wish the main story used the same artist for every part, though.

Just gets sadder and sadder, trauma embedded into Seiichi by his mother

The delightfully strange movie-addled character they’ve added is making this off-kilter fun

Judge Dredd: The Red Queen’s Gambit
The clipboard on the first page made me laugh out loud but from there it’s a pretty serious and tense setup. Good stuff.
Lawless: Ashes to Ashes
Great wrap up. I’m glad the Zhind matter and the artwork is astonishing.
Diamond Dogs
Not very economical with its storytelling. We’ll see where it goes.
The Returners: Chandhu
I remember feels this felt more image than 2000ad for the first story but it’s well drawn, funny and has nice quick character work
The Torture Garden
Landed nicely. Artwork suits the story very well and I’m glad the end wasn’t straightforward
Mind Wars: Volume Two
I’m not sure I need someone to say they’re on fire when the caption and art has already told me. Derivative story, clumsily told

Judge Dredd: The Crazy
I like when a Dredd book nods to the horror of their justice system while still providing the thrills and humour. This definitely achieves that.
Lawless: Ashes to Ashes
I really don’t understand how Winslade manages such detail and expression in a pretty tight schedule. Amazing art. Looks like the Zhind may have not been a throwaway after all!
Storm Warning: Green and Pleasant Land
Continues to do nothing for me
Tales from the Black Museum
This would have been better if the (very good) artist could stop squeezing in distracting references
The Torture Garden
Still gross, which the art works well for, still a bit weirdly paced.
Mind Wars
Derivative space opera stuff with art that makes a bit difficult to follow at times
