I really love this book. It's the first book I've read where the main character is a black girl, and the fact that it's a YA makes it better. Bree is an amazing main character, and I love her male interests. The plot is pretty good. I have a weakness for magic and secret societies.

A bit too fast paced for me, and the side characters aren't that well developed which is why I didn't give this story a full 5 stars. Overall, it's a good book and shocking this is Tracy Deonn's debut book! She has great talent and I'm looking forward to reading more from her.
