Move over Ryan Shay because Isaiah Rhodes has taken top spot for me and I "๐˜“๐˜ช๐˜ท๐˜ฆ, ๐˜“๐˜ฐ๐˜ท๐˜ฆ, ๐˜“๐˜ข๐˜ถ๐˜จ๐˜ฉ" him.

๐™‹๐™ก๐™–๐™ฎ ๐˜ผ๐™ก๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™œ is my favourite book so far of the series, and that is saying something because this entire series is so dang good!

We got a glimpse of Isaiah and Kennedy in the previous book ๐˜Š๐˜ข๐˜ถ๐˜จ๐˜ฉ๐˜ต ๐˜œ๐˜ฑ, and with the way that book ended I have been anxiously waiting to read their story.

I absolutely fell in love with baseball star Isaiah Rhodes and loved being back with these characters.    He is so sweet and understanding and is the polar opposite of who we initially think he is.    The way he just absolutely loved, cared for and protected Kennedy had me swooning.

And Kennedy is such a strong woman though she may not realize it herself.   Sheโ€™s smart, caring, attentive and really damn good at her job.  And watching her grow and overcome her fears with Isaiah is what made this story.

These two have such strong chemistry, fun witty banter and spice.  Those open door spicy scenes were fire ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐Ÿฅต

I love getting glimpses of our favourite characters from the previous books and their family dinners together.   They are the heart of these stories and I love how interconnected they all are.

I had a smile on my face the whole time and could not put this book down.

If you havenโ€™t read this series yet I highly suggest it!   (And donโ€™t let the size of the books scare you, they are quick page turning reads).

* The fifth and final book comes out next year.

Wow.

I absolutely loved this story.

This book has everything.
- An amazing group of characters, especially Graham.  I absolutely adored him and his friendship with Lucy.
- The best book boyfriend. Henry is so sweet, understanding and sensitive - oh how I love thee.    And his story is just so raw and emotional.
- Found family.  Again this amazing group of characters.  You canโ€™t help but love them all.
- Endometriosis rep and living with a chronic illness.  And anxiety and mutism.
- The sweetest, fluffiest most amazing service dog Rowan!

Lanza writes this story so beautifully and really takes care to be sensitive with the topics.

I especially loved the music rep and how Lanza used music as a coping mechanism for the MCโ€™s.   This really resonated with me as I use music to cope with my own anxiety and panic attacks.

And I have to make note of Henry and Lucyโ€™s meet cute.   There really could not have been a more perfect moment for these two to meet each other.

Once I started this book I could not put it down and found I was even thinking of the characters when I wasnโ€™t reading.

This truly is an amazing book that I will remember for a long time after and one I highly suggest reading!

This is the third book in ๐˜›๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ด๐˜ฆ๐˜ฎ๐˜ข๐˜ช๐˜ฅ series and once again it did not disappoint.

Millie is back and is ready to move on with her life and moves her family to a lovely cul-de-sac into her dream home.  But once again she finds herself in a precarious position when she is told to

This was a page turning binge read and once I started I couldnโ€™t put it down.

I did find the first bit a little slow but it doesnโ€™t take long before it takes off and you get completely hooked.

And just when I would think I was starting to figure things out Freida throws in a curveball and has me reevaluating all my theories.

And that final twist in the epilogue completely shocked me, I was not expecting that.

I highly suggest grabbing this series.
You can read this as a standalone, but I recommend reading ๐™๐™๐™š ๐™ƒ๐™ค๐™ช๐™จ๐™ข๐™–๐™ž๐™™ and ๐™๐™๐™š ๐™ƒ๐™ค๐™ช๐™จ๐™š๐™ข๐™–๐™ž๐™™'๐™จ ๐™Ž๐™š๐™˜๐™ง๐™š๐™ฉ first.

The Teacher by Freida McFadden

I enjoy Freida McFaddenโ€™s books because they are quick unputdownable thrillers.

This one unfortunately was not my favourite of hers and I found myself about 60% of the way through wondering if I should just give up and DNF.

The pace of the story really slowed down around the middle and the characters were really unlikeable.

When part two hit I realized there was going to be more to the story which is why I stuck with it, but the ending was quite unrealistic and the twist was a big let down.

Please make note this book contains pedophilia and relations with a minor.

This Summer Will Be Different by Carley Fortune

Oh my gosh, this book.   I absolutely LOVED it!!!

This is Fortuneโ€™s writing that I fell in love with when I read ๐™€๐™ซ๐™š๐™ง๐™ฎ ๐™Ž๐™ช๐™ข๐™ข๐™š๐™ง ๐˜ผ๐™›๐™ฉ๐™š๐™ง and dare I say that this book captivated me even more than ๐˜Œ๐˜š๐˜ˆ did!!

Itโ€™s hard to really put into words when you love a book so much, but Iโ€™ll do my best.

Lucy and Felix have the best meet cute and their relationship blossoms from there.   I loved the rotating timelines every few chapters from โ€˜Nowโ€™ and โ€˜Beforeโ€™ and getting glimpses into moments of their relationship.

Their romantic chemistry was just perfect and absolutely fire ๐Ÿ”ฅ

And as much as I loved Felix and Lucy one of my favourite relationships in the book is the one between Lucy and Bridget.   Iโ€™d honestly say that their friendship was so in tune and special that they were truly platonic soulmates.

But, the real winner of this book is beautiful Prince Edward Island.
Fortune transports us to this gorgeous Province and Iโ€™m now dying to go back.
I fell in love when I visited PEI many years ago and Fortune does a fantastic job of bringing you to this beautiful province.  Her descriptions of the locations, people and food are so spot on.

I will say I had no idea oyster shucking was a thing and that these competitions were so big.  But it just added to Felixโ€™s hotness level and made me crave oysters, lol!

Donโ€™t walk, RUN  to grab this book.

This is THE book to read this summer and you will not be disappointed!!

I was so pleasantly surprised by this book!

Iโ€™ve been in a huge reading slump lately and decided to pick this one up as a buddy read hoping it could get me out of this funk, and it didnโ€™t disappoint!

I found this book to be a lot of fun to read.   I laughed out loud and enjoyed the light sarcastic humour and dialogue.  Everyone is a suspect and it is an easy page turner that keeps you guessing.

And itโ€™s always fun to read books set it beautiful settings and this one takes place in Italy!

I will say that Iโ€™m thankful I did the audio for this one and actually suggest it.
This book has footnotes that I found difficult to read in print, but absolutely loved with the audio.

If you love a good cozy mystery that is a quick read I highly suggest picking this one up.

This is the first book in The Vacation Mystery series and I look forward to reading the next one!

The Aunties are back and at it again!

What should be a family celebration for Chinese New Year, becomes a chaotic mess when a longtime foe crashes the party.

I enjoyed this one and had some good laugh out loud moments throughout.

I love seeing the situations the Aunties get themselves into (and out of) every time.  They truly are the heart of the story.   They are downright hilarious with the things they do and say.

Meddy and Nathan are newlyweds now and itโ€™s so cute how much Nathan gets involved with the family and tries to impress the Aunties.

This series really brightens your mood because itโ€™s such a light hearted, outrageously funny read with a loving family at the heart of it.

I would love to see the Aunties back again, and I have a good idea where a potential fourth book could go next!

I absolutely loved ๐˜ฝ๐™š๐™›๐™ค๐™ง๐™š ๐™„ ๐™‡๐™š๐™ฉ ๐™‚๐™ค and was very excited when I heard another book in the series was coming out and that it would tell Soledadโ€™s story.

Soledad is one strong, bad ass woman.   Her world gets torn apart and the life she thought she knew goes up in smoke.   But itโ€™s her story as she rebuilds herself and her life thatโ€™s beautiful to read.   I loved following her self love journey as she rediscovers who she truly is and learns to love again in the process.

And Judah, he was just perfect.  He was always putting Soledad first and lifting her up.  And I loved how respectful he was with his ex wife and the way they co-parented together.  And how much of a devoted caring father he is to his two teeenage autistic boys.

There was the perfect amount of spice and romance in this one.  And I loved the slow burn chemistry between the two of them.

I highly recommend picking this one up!

This is the second book in the ๐˜š๐˜ฌ๐˜บ๐˜ญ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ series, but it can be read as a standalone.

I am very much looking forward to Hendrixโ€™s story next.
