absolutely beautiful work, one of those ones that you want to reread just to be part of the setting again, to absorb all the gorgeous creatures and worldbuilding. very happy I own a physical copy of this one.

I generally enjoyed this collection, but felt a few didn't really belong in it as they were hardly horror and definitely not body horror. the stories I did greatly enjoy were Braces by Sasha Brown, Deeper by Bridget D. Brave (this one had me yelling out loud as I read it! while I'm not sure if it's technically body horror, it was short and punchy and gross in a rlly fun way), and Vincent Is A Poseur Asshole! by David Worn (rlly funny and dumb in a great way). also shout out to Intoxication by Lindsey Ragsdale for being weird enough that I can't help but respect it.

when the two MCs kiss for the first time: "the tips of our tongues shook hands". I can't stop thinking about this awful line. it's going to haunt me.
