This was a decent self-help book. I found myself already being conscious of a good amount of the information, so I didn't feel as though I learned or gained much from this.

My biggest complaint was how long this was. The most interesting parts of the story happened in the last 100 pages, and the other 500 felt so, so drawn out. I didn't hate it. It just feels like it's trying to be ACOTAR and no one can beat Miss Maas

This is a major upgrade from the first one in my opinion. I had a great time. Mal makes me viscerally angry. Alina is less insufferable I actually dig her character a lot in this one. Nikolai carried. One more yessir yessir

I couldn't take The Darkling seriously bro his name is THE DARKLING LMAOOOO

But this wasn't bad, I didn't love it but didn't hate it. I don't think Alina is a super great protagonist and I don't particularly love any characters but Genya to be honest. I am going to read the whole trilogy because I have faith. We'll see!

The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern

I truly can never survive Erin Morgenstern's work without bawling my eyes out by the final stretch. I've seen a lot of love for this book, which I appreciate because that is where I lean on the spectrum, but I've also seen a lot of disdain and adamant hatred, which I found shocking. There are many stories to feel so strongly against and this one just doesn't seem like the one to boycott.

This is the story of stories, and there's a lot of care and love and beautiful prose and pain and fear and grief. I think it is easy to dislike something that isn't meant to be easily understood.

"And no story ever truly ends as long as it is told."
