A very solid thriller that kept me guessing almost to the end. This was a fun, compelling read, well plotted and well paced.

This is an exceptionally weird book and nothing like I expected. I think I appreciated it more than I actually enjoyed it. It was trying to do SO much and really probably too much. I think if it had been a bit more focused, it might have been more successful for me, but I had trouble really connecting to any of the characters because it was so all over the place. Interesting but not as effective as I think it should have been.

I loved this. Sweet and sad and perfectly done. Just beautiful.

Everyone in this book was awful? Just the narrator’s sheer self hatred was too much. I skimmed through a bit after to see if maybe it got any better but I didn’t even finish skimming bc I didn’t want to see them get a happy ending tbh. I saw someone on tiktok compare this to a queer Emily Henry and even as not the biggest EH fan, I think she deserves better.

A very satisfying, well paced and solidly written hockey romance. Casey in particular is a refreshing character for this genre. Very enjoyable.

I just couldn’t get into this, it was so slow.

This was lovely. I love Anita Kelly’s characters, they’re so real and individual, it makes any trope-y stuff (which there was a bit of here) work just because it’s believable in a way that’s hard to pull off. I also appreciated the build of this - too often with characters who have little to no relationship experience, it’s kind of zero to 60 in a really implausible way. I thought this was a much more realistic take on that and it really worked for me. Really charming. I think the second book in this series is still my favorite but I really enjoyed this.

I mean, it’s schlock but it’s compulsively readable schlock. Friday night lights but with football dads falling in love.

This was sweet and charming. The writing was almost too much for me a few times but managed to stay on the right side of the line on tweeness and extra-ness. Shep is one in a million and really the best thing about the book. The resolution seemed a bit rushed to me but overall I enjoyed this. Also? The *prettiest* cover.

I really loved this. The writing was a tad clunky at times, but overall, this was just a fun, charming, satisfying romance. Really delightful.
