Maxie's company is going through a major merger. She works. Goes home and doesn't really go out with people. Especially in the summer because she hates the heat. So one day as she's leaving when she's approached by a colleague she doesn't really know how to deal with it. Ana tells her she found something out that could ruin the merger and she doesn't know what to do but she would really like to have Maxie's opinion.

They agree to talk later but Maxie never hears from Ana that weekend. She doesn't see her at work again either. Through some digging Maxie figures out this secret. She accidentally lets it slip to the wrong person and is attacked.

Now she's in need of protection and she lands in the capable hands of Lot. Due to forced proximity, tension rises and feelings develop. Can Kit keep her safe? You'll have to read to find out how it all ends.

Fall in love with cute stranger who happens to be your bodyguard? Check. Get super pissed because he lied to you and now you don't know if he was doing a job or he was into you? Check. Have a stalker and let cute secret bodyguard be yourr bodyguard again. Even though he says that's all he can be? Reluctantly, check.  Fall in love for real while trying to solve the stalker issue.... Swoon. I mean check.

Okay so that's the premise. It's cute and even though Hendrick is constantly blaming himself for stuff he can't control, I love him. But the stalker.... His reasoning leaves something to be desired. I want to punch him. Freaking idiot.

I absolutely love Strike and Robin. Their partnership is amazing. Do I wish they would just admit how they feel about each other? Kinda. But it's not the main theme of the story so we can just breeze past that.

I absolutely love how you are immersed in this story and you are trying to solve a mystery and you never really know who or what is going on or involved until they solve it. Then they reveal it out to you and you get it. You're like, "Yes, that makes total sense."

I love the characters and the sode stories and just everything about this story, well the whole series.

I loved the back story. I mean as much as you can a heartbreaking story. If only they would have gotten their heads out of their asses.  Not the point.  Part two hurt but I felt glossed over..and part three needed a smidge more healing. But that's just my thoughts. It was a great story.

While I liked the book (series) I really hated Paige. She couldn't make up her mind and that really irritated me.

Don't you love finding out your fiance is cheating on you at the same time you start your period? Yeah, that's a hell of a way to start your day. Then you show up to shoot a wedding, as in photography. But someone else decided to actually shoot at the wedding. Little did you know, you might have been the target. Not that you can be convinced. But a hot Russian man takes notice and helps save your life. Only to practically kidnap you and force you into marriage. You have no clue why. But he has reasons. He's trying to hunt the shooter and find The Theif.

Luca and Rosa's story... beautiful. It was so full of heartbreak and love. I'm so glad they got their happy ending.
