Wires and Nerve graphic novel vol 2: Gone Rogue

This is the last installment to The Lunar Chronicles. I was so sad when I finished it because it's like closing the door on a world of adventure, loveable characters, and such a brilliantly unique storyline. My love for this series will live on and I'm glad I'll be able to revisit it any time I want, although it might never grow. My overall rating for romance is 💖

Welcome to the modern day Great Gatsby!! This was so much fun to read! 🥰 I feel like I cheated myself by not being schooled on the original "Great Gatsby", but that was my fault for not loving reading in highschool. I feel like I missed comparisons and inside jokes. 🤦‍♀️ I will be remedying that in the best future! It is sexy and a bit sad as there are scenes of death and one sticks with Daisy (and you) throughout the remainder of the book. I'm excited to read "Charming Devil", but not before "The Picture of Dorian Gray" so I don't put myself through the same experience of feeling like I'm missing something 😏
My overall ratings for romance and spice are 💖💖💖/🌶️🌶️🌶️

This series right here is a MUST read/listen!! Three Dark Crowns tetralogy with two much needed and loved prequel novellas.

It's dark and twisty and perfect for the upcoming spooky season! This is the first and so far only series I've read from @kendareblake , but certainly won't be the last! I love her writing style, imagery, and craft for world building 😍 I am so sad this series is over. I want so much more history of Fennbirn, the Mainland, and all the other islands as well as the Queens and the Goddess. 😩

My ratings for romance and action are 💖💖💖/👊👊👊👊

Hello fellow nerds!! 🤓 This is an epic tale of Jude the Great Wizard and his adventures in surviving high school, getting the girl, making new friends, and finding his voice and the courage to seek his dreams! This is book 2 in the "Fortuna Beach" series, but it is not a continuation, it works perfectly as a standalone, though the characters and some plots are discussed in "Instant Karma". I don't know why I put off reading this for so long because it was everything I had hoped and imagined it would be! My rating for romance is 💖💖

A Fate Inked in Blood by Danielle L. Jensen

"Her fate is inked in her blood. It's carved in her bones. This power is Freya's destiny."

This book satiated my need for a Norse story, however, now I am in desperate need for book 2!!! 😩
There was so much fuss over this book and I had only added it to my tbr because it was pretty and I liked the title. It wasn't until I was complaining about wanting to read a Norse/viking book that it was brought to my attention that this was what I'd been looking for and it did NOT disappoint.

I love it for the fighting, the romance,  the magic, and the lore! It filled all the holes I had for what I wanted to read next. The characters felt predictable, but then it turned out they weren't, at all! The plot twists were 🤌. Hopefully I don't have to wait long for book 2's arrival! I give 💖💖💖 for romance and 🌶️ for spice.
