I was pleased to find that in the sequel to A Winter's Promise, I finally started to feel like I understood what the Point of what was going on in this narrative was. The first book was enjoyable to me and I was intrigued by the world-building and interesting characters, but I felt like things moved too slowly and I finished the book still feeling unsure what the Point of this series is, you know? But The Missing of Clairdelune builds off of A Winter's Promise by more deeply exploring the society that Ophelia inhabits, as well as in (very) slowly revealing some information about the world at large and its lore. I'm really excited to read the next book in this series now that I have a better grasp on its world and its themes!

I really loved this book. Once I got comfortable with being utterly confused, I had a great time seeing Piranesi's world through his eyes and slowly unraveling its mysteries (and his own) along with him. I highly recommend it!

This book seems good and intriguing, but I started it while I was on vacation at the beach and its subject matter/tone wasn't jiving with me. Maybe one day I'll pick it up again, but for now I'm working on other books!

I enjoyed this book, but I feel like it had a lot of potential that it didn't live up to.

It failed to capture my interest. Seems fun though, I might revisit it one day.

I really loved this book! It's well-written, well-paced, and has a compelling protagonist. And while I did find some of the "millenial"-type language the author uses a little bit corny at times, I think she did much better at incorporating it than most other authors do. I also really could relate to Grace's personal struggles regarding what she wants out of her life, and I think any young adult in or freshly out of academia will be able to see themselves in her.

I might pick this book up again, it seemed interesting but I decided to prioritize some other books I'm reading at the moment.
