Siege of the Seven Sins by Emily Colin

Holy freaking crap how things have escalated. This one has even more action and boy oh boy do we learn some new secrets. One of those is insanely major, my jaw dropped when I read it. This series is is truly an adventure. It is also full of learning to be who you are and learning to trust. I am loving Ari and Eva with all of their ups and down. There is a war coming and I don't see the action lessening in the books to come. If Emily keeps this up with all the twist and turn I am going to end up falling out of my seat because I am too close to the edge.

What would you do in a world where the 7 sins are taken to the extremes and their is not such thing as love and you must follow every rule without question. Even from a young age Eva has felt that these rules are not the way things should be and has found way even if they are small to be definite. Ari has wants nothing but to be the blade for this world but Eva has been his secret desire from first glance. These two are thrust together and this is where secrets begin to come out and they learn that only on the surface things are as holy as the Commenwealth wants people to believe. This book is full of action, banter, finding ones self, and inner strength. This was such a great start to this dystopian series.
Sweet Briar: A Dark Fantasy Romance Sleeping Beauty Retelling by Joline Pearce

She is definitely more of a Briar than and Rose and I am here for it. This is a Sleeping Beauty retelling but with a spitfire of an FMC for she is no timid damsel, she will have what she desirers no matter what someone might tell her. Killian is our grump knight on this quest with the Princess and as per usual we all know who really does all the heavy lifting. All he longs for is a place to call his own and be a man for himself and not under the thumb of someone else. The prince Alistair needs a good smack in the back of the head a few times to bring him back to reality. This trio has some action packed moments with the monster that seem to follow them. You need to read this morally grey, untamed, action packed and spiced filled book.

Welp let me wrap my head around the ending of this book. Very close to the end I was so giddy and happy and then the very end come on couldn't let me have my happy moment you just had to go and make me cry and be sad. Aisling is truly amazing not only is she a fighter but her compassion for others and seeing people not for their station is fantastic. Kohen may seem like the broody grump but boy is he a gooey marshmallow. Oh and let us not forget to mention the declarations he makes, I am a puddle on the floor, just pure heart that one. Tetra the best friend is beyond fierce despite people doubting her and I love her revenge plots. Kohen's crew is full of fantastic characters that I just cant get enough of. This is action packed, face paced, full of creatures and will keep you on the edge of your set.

So glad to be back in Adenashire with all the best cozy vibes. Give me all the quirky cute moments and the deliciousness of the teas and food. Talk about making me jealous with all of this yumminess. This book has destiny, magic, and dragons. I absolutely loved that Doli find her courage with her family and the shy sweetness of the FMC truly could have given me a cavity (and I mean that in the best way). Give all the delightfully charming moments.

Hello and enjoy this cozy writer rivalry with some great spice. This story had some adorably sweet moments. The FMC and the MMC have some fantastic banter and then they go and add in a spicy wager which just makes the story even better. This regency fantasy is combine with cozy romance makes for the perfect book to sit back and just enjoy in a day. This also had a wonderful lesson of believing in yourself and being who you are is enough. Truly you will finish it in one day. I am so excited this will be continuing with some characters from this book.

I absolutely adore the MMC and FMC. They were just so relatable. Both has self estem issues and feeling at though they won't be want yet that find one another. The FMC has such cool magic, she is able to do make over in a snap, imagine your clothes fitting correctly always. Oh gosh that would be fantastic. The MMC is so protective and so gentle is so sweet. It is full of action with all the obstacles they must get through on their way to safety. This is definitely a book I could read again and again.

I just couldn't connect to the characters and there was too much theology for my liking.

I really enjoy the premise of the story and love her books but I just could not get past the scene of a dragon and human women being intimate in those forms.
