The way Evans writes is like a balm to the soul. Every page held me captivated and thanking God for Rachel Held Evans. I laughed, I cried, and saw myself reflected back at me. This isn’t a a book dunking on the church, it is an authentic account of how messy church and faith can be— something that is often missing in books on religion. Reading this was a true comfort and encouragement.
