Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

The first three chapters were so heavily detailed in terms of computer and game references, it brought me sleep inducing migraines. It got better after that when we actually got to the story. A friend of mine said it was an easy read, and I'd have to agree (except for the first three chapters).

My only nitpick was, it's a futuristic story but it was too hung up with the past. I wish he had introduced us to more than just the OASIS and the haptic gear needed to run it. Like the clothes at the end -- I would have wanted to know a little more about that earlier so to give him room to introduce speculated tech developments, worn or otherwise. I'm a Trekkie, and I haven't found any material that could compare to its inventive ideas.

In the end, I realized that this is just the 80s kids' version of The Da Vinci Code.

Helpful.
Repetitive.
Maybe that's why it's helpful. It's so repetitive that it's like it's digging its insight into your brain.

Lighthearted Feast

The art sold it all the more to me. Exceptional.

And I love how all Bat family members are in this special.

It's my guilty pleasure. Too biased for a review.
