Fascinating, volume 2 is on hold already. Read a lot of passages out loud to the family too for discussion.

A hard read recognizing truly how systemic the genocide of Indigenous Americans really was for our whole history as a nation. I didn't know before how being an "Indian Killer" really elevated many folks in American history to fame through their atrocious acts.

A good reread already loving the characters of Three Pines so well now but still her weakest book of the bunch but so glad to know she just gets better and better!

An incredible work! Truly the best literature I have read about teens that isn't an older classic like Amen of Green Gables. A cutthroat piece of writing with an incredibly fascinating storyline.

A favorite reread. One of the first times I have listened on audio. Makes me want to read Home, Lila, and Jack to see if I like them more now the way I do Gilead.

Interesting premise but even the ending doesn't feel as satisfactory as I wanted.

Very intense book. Let's just say, I am rereading Gilead next as a book all about good and kind and loving characters after finishing this one.
