First time I've read this and couldn't put it down, seen the movie over a hundred times, know screenplay off by heart basically; what a great adaptation eh?
Anyway enough of the movie..
This book was absolutely brilliant, I now understand why it's such a cult classic.
It's written so well, the character development is spot on, it's dark, it's hilarious and a true masterpiece.
Go read it ya radge! 👊

The first Irvine Welsh book I've read.
I absolutely loved it!! Pure barry man, ye ken?
When people ask me, what's the funniest book you've ever read I always say Choke by Chuck Palahniuk but now this definitely takes first place; I laughed out loud with that Claudia Rosenberg bit at the end.
It's not all laughs though as it's depraved and sad also, but that can be expected I suppose.
The insults are priceless!
I've probably seen the adaptation of Trainspotting over 100 times, never read the book though; Skagboys is the prequel book to that.
Throughout reading this I'm thinking to myself, how does anyone outside of Scotland understand this slang? (it's easy for me though, being Scottish and understand every word and even know similar people, especially of the Begbie kind) 😂
I'm going to make it a goal of mine to read every Irvine Welsh book I can get ma mittens oan.
I've always been meaning to read the Mark Renton series so here we go, straight onto the second book - Trainspotting!

If you're into crime, thriller novels with supernatural elements then you should absolutely love this.
Not read a King book in a while so it was very enjoyable to read this one for the first time, it's written so well like all of his novels and it was a pleasant surprise to come across a character from something else King wrote (love it when he does that)
Loses a star because of it's predictability.

It starts of very graphic with the molestation and murder of a young boy and the rest of the book is solving that crime.

I've read a lot of books about extraterrestrials - this is the best one I've ever read.
Absolutely brilliant, I loved every page and the way everything was laid out - it made it such an easy and interesting read.
I particularly enjoyed reading about the biblical views behind aliens.
Highly recommend this, if you're into such things! 🛸

Decided to read this one because it was compared to The Stand by Stephen King but this was just completely derivative and in a mediocre way.
It wasn't terrible, I think he's a good writer and detailed with the descriptions of the surroundings; which I enjoy because it sets the scene.
My favourite character was Peter Solomon, who is basically just Randall Flagg; apart from this character the character development was very poor.

Set in Victorian London, this book is like jumping into a time machine.
It's a very long book, it's slow paced but it's beautifully written and I got through it eventually.
I really liked these characters, some of them were likeable and others not so much; they were just written so well.
Same rating as Under the Skin but this is better, great author! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Read, learn, open your eyes and be informed.
By reading this book you'll learn so much about politics, banking, media, religion, society and the world and the events that have been happening throughout history; especially World War 2 and the Nazi war machine through different eyes.
This was my second time reading this book, I recommend reading to anyone who wants to be informed about the true identity and character of that small group of people (BANKERS i.e the 1%) who rule our world and are responsible for the moral and spiritual degradation of Western societies.
You might think it's crazy and far fetched but some of us have woke up to it and too much doesn't add up!
'The greatest trick the Illuminati ever pulled...was to convince the world they didn't exist.'
"..an epidemic gives them the excuse to do exactly they're doing.." - David Icke
Read this...at least once.
