Our beloved couple face new challenges in both their relationship and their personal life. This allows them to understand each other better but also provide support and show their love in new and more profound ways.

We also see an increasing focus on the relationships that are developing around Nobuko. The deepening tenderness of the existing relationship is complemented beautifully by the tendrils of butterfly inducing blossoming romance.

This was a fun take on a classic romance trope, complete with all the fan fave manga tropes - from severe misunderstandings to a confused confession.

While Nmura, stays true to the classic tropes there is a freshness in the characters that stops this manga from feeling tired or repetitive.

A confident and charismatic retelling of the mythological story of Persephone, Girl, Goddess, Queen, brilliantly captures the original story while giving much-needed agency and power to Persephone herself in a way that is a breath of fresh air.

The romance is also incredibly swoon-worthy - Hades and Persephone were meant for each other.

I am amazed at how Nanako Hanada was able to take a seemingly simple story about a woman recommending books and embed within it beautiful and touching truths about life and one’s sense of self.

All while giving some excellent book recommendations!

I was touched, was outraged and laughed all the way through.
