The Wolf King by Jovee Winters

Absolutely amazing.
For anyone who likes fairytale retellings, fantasy, romance and magic this is the book for you. I love the way this book was written, how the characters had to learn sacrifice to get what they wanted. Eventhough red and her wolf are not my favourite pair to read about (that would be Hades and Calypso) I simply could not put it down. Just had to find out what happened and I was not disappointed.
To anyone new to this author I would recommend going back and starting with her mad hatter written as Marie Hall, reading the kingdom series in order then dark queens and dark kings in the order they came out, trust me it's worth it.

I have read many retellings of beauty and the beast over the years and there are very few that stand out like this one. The world the author has created is wonderful and intricate. Our Beauty character is fierce, opinionated and scarred. Our Beast is scared and lonely but does suffer from a few anger management issues. You will fall in love with both of them. I would definitely reccomend this book.

This series just keeps getting better and better. After falling in love with the first book I found myself suprised when I enjoyed the second book more, then I read this story and found myself that the author had once again managed to suprise me. This is a beauty and the beast retelling with a few twists, for one the genders are switched, our beast is a girl, our belle is a guy. The next twist is that the beast gets a slight reprieve between the hours of midnight and 1am where she gets to be human (well almost human, think wolfman of early hollywood). The fact the girl is not some flawless epitome of beauty is refreshing. The characters are lovable if at times frustrating but thats what makes them feel real. I would reccomend this series to anyone who likes to read, enjoys romance and loves getting lost in a fantasy world.
