Alas this did not work for me. I didn't find the main character interesting and I found the book itself quite boring. Also the worldbuilding exposition was extremely clunky. 

Vivid. Haunting.

I've never wished I could give negative stars to something more than I do right now. Read it for research and it was worse than I expected, which is saying a lot because the bar was beneath hell. It's ripe with misinformation, poor sourcing, and willful refusal to listen to the communities it claims to be talking about. It's transphobic dreck and I cannot recommend it to anyone.

This was very fun!
