Such cute art, great representation, and a host of adorable characters. I’m really happy to finally sit down and read this though I’m dying to know more about Uncle Terry.

I don’t know Lutzke’s life or anything but he definitely nailed it in his portrayal of Denny. Really brought me back to a period of my life that I don’t like to focus on much. So serious kudos for that - it’s hard to write a neglected, traumatized kid.
Also credit for keeping things gross but making them still stay in the realm of believable.

I think I’m done with the series now. I went into it for vampires, not cults and now there’s animal death? Ugh.

This new plotline is really losing me - along with the written out accent shit that’s happening with that kid. All the ‘er and geddit shit is making me bugshit.

Just when things were getting juicy things come to a complete stop so we can… spend way too many pages on a date? In the horror manga? I was not impressed.
I’m holding out hope things get better again.

I admire how this story isn’t holding punches as far as violence goes. I don’t have anything I’d like such as you know context or understanding for anything but it all feels pretty real. Nobody is safe which is cool.
I was frustrated at how there wasn’t a cue about the time skip? I was real lost for a minute there.

There’s been a sexual element to things for a while but it got really uncomfortably sexual in this one. Mostly because the kids are like… teens? Little too much nudity with the youths.
But the cliffhangers are getting so good that I can’t stop myself anyway.

Things are seriously gaining momentum now and I’m all for it. This volume was much less scary than the last one, but it’s worth it to see a bit more of the vampiric lore. And Yuuki who is already kind of my favorite, god help me.

Such a frustrating story, but the amount of detail is I think incredibly important. This is a dense book at times. There’s lots of names and locations - trust the process and eventually things will make sense.

The art remains lovely and I think the author deserves nothing but praise for the way they make things diverse without feeling like they’re marking off a checklist. Truly wonderful. The designs of the Marshmallow tea dragon and the Mountain Chamomile tea dragon in particular make my heart ache with how squishable they are.
I just didn’t find this story as engaging as the first one. For people more into dragons this would probably be great though.
