I think about this book a lot. Completely transformed the way I look at food throughout all of these years, man.

Well, that was a rollercoaster.

The art was really good, and I appreciated the fact that everything was placed in chronological order. The map pages were a treat to see as well.

The plausibility of these events is very convincing and a tad unsettling, but a bit too far of a reach for me to genuinely believe it. I had a few moments where I wondered whether such things could happen, but not enough was apparent for me to consider the possibility.

I got a bit excited when I saw some of the locations, such as St. Lucia and Joshua Tree, for two different reasons:

1) My dad is from St. Lucia! I'm Carribean-American

2) Joshua tree, 1951 was the name of a James Dean-related movie based on his sexuality, so that reawakened some very.... interesting memories from the movie, lol. Not all of them particularly great, for that matter.

That's all I have to say! A fun read

ow that fucking HURT!
That hurt a lot!! That ending was so.. ouch.
I'd honestly die for Carl. I love that little guy.
The only complaint I have is that everything happened REALLY FAST-- but all in all, it was really good, and pretty heart-wrenching.
Now hopefully everyone's a bit safer

Should've written a review ages ago, but here I am now.

It was a gorgeously done book. I honestly wish I had a personal copy, and probably will be investing in one in the future. I think about the murals and paintings, with all the pretty, flowy, and perfectly placed words every second of my life.

i'm PRETTY SURE the library where i live is on the verge of killing me because of how long i've had this book checked out for. i can't even remember when it was due. i just know it's december 14th and i checked it out in? approximately? late october? holy shit, i've had this library book since before halloween. i'm basically a criminal now. anyway, that was a fun story, 100/10, almost was convinced to read the actual novel series but i don't have time for that. ;-]
