This book had so much adventure and kept me wanting to read more. I did not enjoy book 2 (the devil’s thief) too much and I was worried I wouldn’t enjoy this book but I was totally wrong!
It is 700 pages packed with mystery and adventure that kept me on the edge of my seat.
If you did not enjoy book 2 as much like myself, I encourage you to continue and read this book! Trust me it’s worth it!

This book picks up right where the Devil's Thief left off.
Esta and Harte get up to lots of time traveling trouble while trying to collect the Book of Mysteries and the elemental stones.
The Serpent's Curse is A LOT. It felt like it could have been shorter and it was frustrating that it wasn't the conclusion of the series.
I did enjoy learning more about Harte's past and seeing where the relationship between Esta and Harte would go.
I'm invested enough in this story to want to pick up the 4th installment.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC for review.

I honestly don’t even know what I just read, but I loved every second of it.
This sequel completely blew me away. Going into this, I was a little nervous. Based on the cliffhanger from The Devil’s Thief and all of the storylines that hadn’t been resolved, I really didn’t see where this was going to go.
Nothing could have prepared me for the twists and turns this book took. I predicted almost nothing that happened, and I have truly no idea how this is going to wrap up in the conclusion.
This book was long but it didn’t feel that way. I was frantically turning the pages of this to see what would happen next. I audibly gasped multiple times, laughed out loud, and even cried out frustrations. It’s been far too long since a book truly had me on the edge of my seat.
Usually when I read a multiple POV book, there are at least one or two perspectives that feel like a chore to read from. I can honestly say that I loved reading from each character’s perspective. Also the angst between Darrigan and Esta practically had me on the floor.
This series is so underrated, and more people need to read it. Everything you could possibly want is here: time travel, a diverse cast of character, magic, historical settings, plot twists you won’t see coming, anti-heroes, high stakes, romance, and heists.
I’m so happy with this sequel and don’t think I can wait a year for the last book.
