Samantha M Bailey’s debut novel starts off with a bang. The plot and pacing are good and it held my attention. I felt the book was lacking in description, setting, and characters were underdeveloped. The book could have used about 30 more pages of adjectives and inner dialogue.

A good book for a debut. This story was a wild ride all the way to the end. Captivating and fast paced at the beginning and end but a bit slow in the middle. Things aren't always as they appear especially when money and power are involved.

If you’re looking for a thriller that is full of clichés and characters who repeatedly make bad decisions, Woman on the Edge is for you. Unfortunately, that is not what I was looking for so I found this book tedious, ridiculous, and overall, unenjoyable.

I got this book from my Secret Santa this year, never heard of the title before, and it was Amazing. From the cover I wasn't sure if it would be hokey or fantastic, and it was fantastic. It was so fast paced and sucked me in so fast that I finished it in less than a day. It took a chapter or two to figure out who the characters were, but it was a crazy ride right until the end.

3.5 rounding up to 4 stars. I read this in less than a day. I was interested from the beginning. The first half of the book had me wanting to keep reading and not stop. It was fast paced with lots of surprises. Somewhere in the second half I felt like the connection of the story and characters was lost. I pretty much predicted what was happening. It was still a nice quick read.
Thank you to Simon & Schuster and NetGalley for the arc. I am voluntarily leaving a review.

For a thriller, I found this predictable, boring, and flat out sad.

I didn't enjoy this book. The story felt crammed with so many 'twists', but were just so superficial. A lot of it just felt absurd.

Stopped reading a few chapters in because it hadn't grabbed me and also I apparently didn't read the plot heavily relied on mental illness and a baby. eeeep, not good reading for this preggo.

Woman On The Edge is a promising debut thriller from Samantha M. Bailey. The premise is fascinating. What would you do if a woman handed you a baby and then jumped in front of a subway train? It’s harrowing to think about.
Woman on the Edge is a fast-paced story told from dual perspectives (my fav). One of the narrators is unreliable which adds another dimension of intrigue into the mix.
The plot surrounds the story of a mom who is struggling pretty significantly with her newborn baby, and this is difficult to read at times. I could relate to the feeling of being completely lost in new motherhood. It’s not easy, especially if you don’t have a strong, caring support system.
Overall, this was a good debut that you’ll be able to read over a weekend. I’d give it 3-4 ⭐️. Look for it on November 26!

Morgan is standing on a train platform when a woman says her name, asks her to take care of her baby and then pushing the baby into her arms, jumps in front of an oncoming train. There are no witnesses to the incident and so the police begin to suspect that Morgan is somehow involved. Determined to both prove her innocence and find out why this woman she didn’t know would trust her with her child, Morgan vows to find out the real events that led up to that day on the platform.
I absolutely loved this book and was instantly drawn into the story. It was full of twists and I was kept guessing to the end, unable to put it down, which is always a sign of a great read! This is @sbaileybooks debut novel, which is something I would never have guessed and I now cannot wait for her second book. Highly recommend this one for all thriller fans!
