Elizabeth Packard was so interesting to read about, and seeing all the things she went through was crazy. It is insane how much power the men in her life had over her, and how she still managed to fight back despite her unjust imprisonment. I was especially mad after learning that Dr. Macfarland was lying to her the whole time.

Very interesting book. The integration of letters written by the real people into the narrative was so well done- so engaging! Mostly giving 4 stars because I wouldn't read it again, but I enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone interested in the topic.

Great true story about women’s rights in 1860’s. Would have gave it 4 stars but it read so slow.
