I really enjoyed the parts of the book set in Argentina and I like how the author explored the different generations of the family.

A guilty indulgence since I looked forward to reading more horror this year, but I have been meaning to read this book for years, and I am truly happy that I finally did. I will forever treasure the emotions it evoked.

Having read all of Santa Montefiore's books I still think this first one is my favourite.
