Okay, yes, there are remarks made about American women's bodies - which I take as a segue into the idea that Amazonian women have been secluded for so long, they've become arrogant and prejudice against anything that is not theirs. This is book one, and I feel like it's setting up for a lot of education and growth in the following books, by Diana and the other Amazons. They practically announce this when Steve Trevor talks about people being enslaved.
Second, hi, thank you for finally and very casually announcing that at least some of the Amazons are lesbians. Say what you want, but this book took several leaps into diversity and representation in the WW universe. If you've read much WW, you know that typically the characters are a very stale loaf of white, straight bread.
Now we get a real sized girl who is proud of her body and throws it in the face of the Amazons who put her down, a poc Steve Trevor whose personal experience influences his treatment of the Amazons, and the recognition of something other than benign heterosexualality among a society of women.
Best, best new Wonder Woman, if you ask me.

This was the Earth One book I was looking forward most to reading as it was the most recent release, and I'd seen much buzz about it on some of my comics resources in Twitter, etc., which made it that much more disappointing of a read. Admittedly, I've never been a huge fan of Morrison's writing. He seems to expect the artist to pick up a lot of slack for the ambiguity or implicit language in his dialogue, but then doesn't give his artist any notes or guidance of how to actually supplement those narrative/conversational gaps in their art, so the whole thing feels incomplete and convoluted. This wasn't helped one bit by the busy and unnecessarily sporadic panel arrangement. Plus, Morrison's attempt to, as a man, write an exceptionally feminist story for one of comics' greatest feminist icons was overtly heavy-handed and not at all well-informed or even, it seemed, was it an attempt made in earnest. The whole thing is riddled with imagery of chains and bondage breaking, but he failed to develop any significant side characters besides Diana herself and Hippolyta. The art was phenomenal, but still portrayed a decidedly male gaze. It was good to see more of Themiscyra, but the world was not populated to any depth whatsoever. I had high hopes for this book, and it didn't realize anything that it seemed to set out to, aside from making Diana a nearly offensively one-dimensional hero and relying on a single visual motif to try and pass as pro-female.

Compared to the other Earth One titles I've read, this one was extremely uneventful and not really a departure from the standard canon.

Never been a Wonder Woman comic reader but this wasn't bad. It definitely was a spin on the origin story but honestly I've heard so many. I enjoyed this origin though and I had no idea what it would be. I'm still not really into Wonder Woman comics but I enjoyed this.

Love this version. Modern, updated, but still Wonder Woman!!! The art is awesome. Looked great on the Kindle. The text was super easy to read.

This is another take on the Wonder Woman origan story. The artwork is sleek but the plot is so-so. Quotes at the beginning of the hail the influences of feminism on the authors. The way the book is drawn and the storyline itself are misogynistic.

My god, this has to be one of the worst Graphic Novels I have ever read. OK, I have not read many, but the was terrible. The writing was all over the place, didn't make much sense, and was just plain dull. The denotation for a foreign language changed, was never used which made me wonder why they were having communication issues.
The art was Ok.
I will never read the following issues. I am thankful I never parted with any money for this.

Bleearghhh!! This is not wonder woman for a modern age. This is fan service disguised as feminism.
Forgivable if the story was good. But that was very poorly done.

This was definitely an interesting take on the Amazons and Diana herself but I'm not sure I liked it as much as I wanted to.
There are elements of this I'd like to see in more Wonder Woman stories and the art is beautiful if occasionally a bit too leering. I think I may need to revisit this as I honestly can't make my mind up about it.
