I have no idea how to review this. There was so much random things that happened and all of it is left unanswered. The FMC reads much younger than she is; I genuinely thought she was ten or something until it mentioned otherwise. But seriously how did a junior in HIGH SCHOOL not know what a period was?? I know health classes are bad but really? She wakes up and burns her sheets so her mom wouldn’t find out and blame her… this is the first chapter.
This felt like a preview of a book that left you asking “who are these people?” the whole time. Why are the teachers so creepy? Who is Mr. Ridley and what is up with him? Who the hell is Miles and again what happened with him?

Another free short story I downloaded and yet another underwhelming read.
I found out later this is a prequel to a series, but there was no need for this. Nothing happened. What did happen was not for me and I don't understand (or want to know) how the relationship will be justified when the main fc seems way too young mentally - she didn't even know what a period is.

This book was genuinely terrible and I can’t believe what I just read. This was just straight up pedophilia.

Started off like a coming of age story then switched pov in the middle with no warning. At the end, it switched to a porn. Would have DNF if it wasn't so short.

I didn't read the blub. I should have read the blurb.
This is a prequel to a taboo series involving a student and teacher. The student is a junior in high school. I'm the mom of a junior in high school so right from the jump I was not feeling this.
Our girl Jayden seems to live in a Carrie type household. Naive to the world with an abusive mother. Mr. Hunter is the new PE teacher who has a lot of ominous secrets. He finds her taking a shower and we get a time jump and it ends with them in bed. Like WTF. I like taboo and I've read high school romance and age gap but this one just doesn't seem like it's up my ally. NO hate, I plan on reading Dark Vanessa this year and I read Tampa a few years ago. But I'm finna pass on the full length of this one.
